A Quick Story

Global Brand. Local Expertise. Seamless Collaboration

When Australian restaurant brand Guzman y Gomez (GYG) decided to enter the U.S. market, they faced the challenges of navigating unfamiliar codes, construction methods, and cost structures. GYG needed a partner with deep local expertise and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently while maintaining quality and attention to detail.

Interplan stepped in as their trusted partner. We provided full-service support including prototype development, due diligence, architecture, MEP engineering, permitting across four Chicago-area locations. Working with a team 15 hours ahead required flexibility and clear communication, which Interplan delivered consistently to keep the process seamless and responsive.

With limited experience in U.S. construction and code requirements, GYG leaned on Interplan’s guidance and transparent approach. We designed simple, cost-effective plans and helped translate their iconic brand identity to American soil, even sourcing custom black and yellow brick to ensure authenticity.

Bridging Distance with Dependability

Working across time zones demands trust and responsiveness. Interplan’s integrated team approach and clear communication helped GYG navigate the complexities of their U.S. debut with confidence, turning international expansion into a smooth and successful journey.
