Food Lion brought Interplan onboard in 2006 to help with their remodel program. The retail grocery chain has over 1,000 locations across their multiple brand flags in 10 states throughout the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.
Interplan works closely with the Food Lion design team to help execute a remodel program of 20-30 Food Lion locations annually. Through our partnership and proven track record with Food Lion, we have expanded our original remodel relationship to include assisting with the re-branding of their grocery stores acquisitions. We are able to minimize store downtime in these new markets by utilizing our in-house permitting team to help navigate the jurisdictional approvals efficiently. We also have expanded our scope to include new ground-up development for the brand as well.
Our scope for the remodel and new store Food Lion program includes architecture, mep engineering, permitting, site surveys to document existing conditions, and code and permit investigation reports. We have a dedicated team which allows Food Lion to rely on a single point of contact with ease and peace of mind.
