Mission Leads to Innovative Design
In a pioneering endeavor, our team embarked on a mission to reduce construction costs for one of their existing prototypes. When Wawa came to us with this request, we teamed up and looked at various opportunities to achieve their project needs. What seemed to be unimaginable was overcome through new design techniques and continuous collaboration between design and engineering, resulting in a creative and innovative prototype.
Working hand in hand with our trusted structural engineers, we brainstormed unique ideas and implemented groundbreaking solutions, including the creation of distinctive wood structures like the RedBuilt trusses, mass timber roofs, glulam beams, and columns. Our efforts extended beyond mere cost-cutting; we meticulously adapted the newly designed prototype for a location in Florida, showcasing our flexibility and expertise in site adaptation. By integrating fuel canopy designs and providing comprehensive architecture, MEP engineering, and permitting services, we ensured a seamless and efficient process. The culmination of our efforts resulted in the development of a universal prototype, to be used for its sustainability and practicality, poised for nationwide implementation. This achievement stands as a testament to our commitment to innovation, collaboration, and exceeding client expectations in every facet of the project.
Prototype Transformation Achieves Cost-Saving Success.
Our team achieved this project success story through an innovative design approach and close collaboration with the client meeting weekly with their design team, and reviewing details and specifications along the way as new systems and structures were applied to the working documents. Our commitment to personalized client experiences and service excellence further elevated the project’s success.
