Matt WiszPrincipal

Meet Matt

Matt earned his spending money working for developers in offices and general contractors in construction trailers while earning his Architectural degree from Illinois Institute of Technology in 1992. Despite the popularity of Frank Lloyd Wright, it was Architect Louis Kahn that kept Matt most inspired to become a licensed Architect himself in 1996. A childhood filled with any construction materials he could get his hands on (think toothpicks, popsicle sticks…and endless Elmer’s glue bottles) foreshadowed a fulfilling career, now over three decades long. Open-minded and detail-oriented, Matt embodies the Interplan values with confidence and ease.

In his downtime, you’ll find Matt watching shows and reading books about buildings, inventions, artwork, and making things. His wife and three kids enjoy the family vacations going skiing, canoeing, or hiking but usually are not as excited as he is about stopping to see all the famous buildings.
