Dan was born in Oklahoma as the youngest of five to an Accountant father and a nurse turned full-time-mom. After his dad’s job in the oil industry took the family on a short stint to Dubai, they settled in southern Louisiana. Dan spent much of his childhood outdoors, tromping through the swamps catching any critters he could find. After moving to Texas, Dan graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Southwestern Adventist University. After playing in the World Series of Poker main event in 2006 and finishing in the top 4%, Dan settled down, got married, and decided to move to Florida to start a family. Hired as the controller for Interplan in 2007 and became Director of Finance in 2019, Dan found his professional home and never looked back.
Having two sons together, Dan and his wife, Terah, then decided to adopt a sibling group of three. After having another son soon after, they decided six was enough and now happily enjoy a full household capped at 8. Dan spends weekends on family adventures and loves vacations with his big family. There is never a dull day with this bunch!
